Attendance Information in the Instructor’s Blackboard Gradebook Each
instructor should have within his or her Gradebook a column called attendance. §
Students are classified as Current, Active, Inactive,
or Dropped/withdrawn with Last Date of Attendance. The
student status is determined by the instructor and supported by the e-mail logs,
assignment, and test columns. Definition
of categories: Current -
Contact is being made on a regular basis - student is current
in all assignments Active -
Contact is being made on a regular basis - however the student
may be behind in submitting his/her work. Inactive -
Contact has been lost with student Dropped (withdrawn) -
Student dropped from course - documentation submitted to host Each
instructor signs off on a printed copy of the page. §
Inactive and Dropped dates will be included next to these
categories to provide additional documentation. §
The Date within inactive will be last date of contact. §
The Date within Dropped will be date of last contact. §
The drop dates will be confirmed by Host College. §
The host DLC/Registrar is the only entity that can withdraw a
student in the MSVCC enrollment application. At the end of six weeks: The instructor should download a copy of his class roster at the end of the sixth week. This report will be complete with dates indicating if the student is active, inactive, current, withdrawn or dropped. The Last Date of Attendance (LDA) will be shown. |
