| > Mississippi Virtual Community College brings together the resources of
the state's fifteen community and junior colleges to provide students with greater educational options. Students get the same high-quality instruction and course content that these colleges provide to
traditional students, without the barriers of time and travel. |

>Mississippi Virtual Community College allows students to register in person at one of our colleges and taking courses online. Students are only required to visit a campus once during the semester to take a proctored exam.
First, a student
submits a college application. Then the host college (where the student registered) will send
the student details on how to complete the application process. After
acceptance to a participating college, the student can register to take courses
online.
After the course(s) have been completed, student grades
will be transcripted by the college where the student enrolled, not by the Mississippi Virtual Community College.

2) Did you type your username and password correctly?
3) Are you typing all lowercase letters?
4) Did you remove any punctuation from your last name?
5) Are you using your current last name? For example, if you registered under Smith-Jones to indicate a maiden and married name, your user ID will not use the hyphen.
6) Your college Distance Learning Blackboard website contains up-to-date login and password information.
Your college's site is listed here:
7) If you have checked all of the above, and you still cannot log in, you may need a password reset (if your college allows a password reset. Some do not). Password resets can be handled by the 24/7/365 Help Desk by calling 1-866-361-8969. The Help Desk will either reset your password (in the event it can be reset in the Blackboard system) or escalate your problem to your local college's distance learning staff for resolution (if it cannot be reset in the Blackboard system). |

| When I log on to
Blackboard and enter my course, I am prompted to enter a second
code. What is the second code and where can I find it? |
| This is called an
access code. It is required for courses in which the instructor has
adopted the course content directly from the publisher. You should
have been instructed to purchase a book that comes with the user
access code included. This may be sold separately in come cases.
Your instructor is who you should contact if you receive the
second code window. |
