The Mississippi Canvas Users Group debuts on September 10, 2021. We invite spectators from near and far to enjoy the Magic of Mississippi. This fully virtual, one-day live, and on-demand event is designed for knowledge-driven educators making magic happen in and out of the classroom.
The Main Attractions
Conference sessions will be headlined by an array of talent ranging from instructors, technical support staff, instructional designers, and subject matter experts. Each session will be recorded and later made available to registered participants.
Best of the Best: A Showcase of Canvas Courses Utilizing Best Practices. This breakout session will be facilitated by Kimberly Ellis, Instructional Designer at Instructure.
Common Ground: An Online and On-campus Community Breaking the Negative Stigma of Mental Health. This breakout session will be facilitated by Jeri Lynn Parish, eLearning Coordinator at East Central Community College.
Studio and You - Our First Year Implementing Canvas Studio. This breakout session will be facilitated by Alan Kinsey, Instructional Design Specialist at Holmes Community College.
Grade School Sorcery: Using Canvas to Support K-12 Instruction. This breakout session will be facilitated by Marie Roberts, Ed.D., Instructional Technologist at Lauderdale County School District.
Synchronous Learning and Assessment: Shifting Techniques to Meet Shifting Modalities. This breakout session will be facilitated by Martin LaGrow, Ed.D.; LMS Admin and Academic Consultant at Ellucian in conjunction with Demetria White of Tougaloo College
